I have spent waaaaay too much time in the past several months trying to figure out how the heck you return to blogging after an unexplained absence, without boring everyone to tears. I've decided that there is only one way to do it: pretend you were never gone. Well, at least, that's what I'm going to try for the first post.

Kathy and are our fans of what I like to call creative reality TV. In general, I am a total crankmeister about reality TV and tend to yell, "Why the heck are you watching that?!" when I pass a TV that's showing Survivor or Big Brother or Marry My Dog or whatever it is that kids are into these days. I'm sure my attitude comes from:

(a) The fact that I was always picked last for every team in grade school and elimination rounds traumatize me,

(b) Not truly wanting to know how inappropriate people are willing to become, just for a little TV attention, and mostly,

(c) I don't like mean people, but TV producers do.  Read more »
